Description

These White Chocolate Dipped Chewy Maple Cookies are a cozy, easy dessert recipe with soft centers, crisp edges, warm maple flavor, and a smooth white chocolate finish. They are perfect for holiday baking, cookie trays, sweet snack ideas, dessert ideas, and easy recipe moments when you want homemade food ideas that feel extra special without being complicated.

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

8 ounces white chocolate, melted

1 teaspoon flaky sea salt, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.

4. Add the egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until a soft dough forms.

6. Scoop the dough into evenly sized portions and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.

7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers are still soft.

8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

9. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in short intervals, stirring until smooth.

10. Dip half of each cooled cookie into the melted white chocolate.

11. Place the dipped cookies on parchment paper and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if using.

12. Let the chocolate set completely before serving or storing.

Notes

Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor and avoid pancake syrup for this recipe.

Do not overbake the cookies because slightly soft centers keep them chewy after cooling.

Let the cookies cool fully before dipping so the white chocolate sets neatly.
