Description

Get ready to make a creamy, cheesy, flavor-packed Jalapeño Popper Cheese Ball that is perfect for game day, holiday gatherings, easy appetizer spreads, party food tables, and fun snack ideas. This easy recipe combines cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, jalapeños, and green onions into a bold make-ahead appetizer that pairs beautifully with crackers, chips, and fresh veggies for one of the best food ideas when you need a quick party snack.

Ingredients

16 oz cream cheese, softened

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 jalapeños, finely chopped

3 green onions, finely sliced

8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup crushed buttery crackers

2 tbsp extra green onions for coating

2 tbsp extra bacon crumbles for coating

Instructions

1. Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature until easy to mix.

2. Cook the bacon until crisp, then crumble it and set aside.

3. Finely chop the jalapeños and slice the green onions.

4. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped jalapeños, green onions, bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.

5. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.

6. Place the cheese mixture onto plastic wrap and shape it into a ball.

7. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours until firm.

8. On a plate, combine the crushed crackers, extra green onions, and extra bacon crumbles.

9. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and roll it in the coating mixture until fully covered.

10. Transfer to a serving plate and serve with crackers, chips, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese so the mixture blends smoothly without lumps.

Remove the jalapeño seeds for a milder flavor, or leave some in for extra heat.

Add the outer coating shortly before serving if you want the crunchiest finish.
