Description

These Irresistible Salmon Patties are crisp on the outside, tender in the center, and packed with savory seafood flavor. They are an easy recipe for a quick dinner, simple lunch, or healthy snack, and they fit right in with your favorite dinner ideas, easy dinner plans, and everyday food ideas when you want something fast, satisfying, and full of homemade comfort.

Ingredients

1 pound salmon, cooked or canned and drained

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

1. Add the salmon to a large bowl and flake it well with a fork.

2. Mix in the breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, and paprika until combined.

3. Shape the mixture into 6 even patties and press them gently so they hold together.

4. Chill the patties for 15 to 20 minutes if you want firmer patties that flip more easily.

5. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

6. Cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.

7. Transfer to a plate, rest briefly, and serve warm with lemon wedges or your favorite sauce.

Notes

Use well-drained salmon so the patties hold together without needing too many extra breadcrumbs.

Chilling the patties before cooking helps them keep their shape and makes flipping easier.

Cook over medium heat so the outside gets crisp without browning too fast before the center is hot.
