Description

Christmas Tree Cake Trifle is a festive, easy recipe packed with fluffy cake, creamy vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and bright holiday color. Ingredients

12 Christmas tree snack cakes

1 prepared pound cake

2 boxes instant vanilla pudding mix, 3.4 ounces each

4 cups cold milk

8 ounces whipped topping

1 can cherry pie filling, 21 ounces

2 tablespoons green sprinkles

2 tablespoons red sprinkles

2 tablespoons powdered sugar


Instructions

1. Cut the Christmas tree cakes and pound cake into even bite-sized cubes.

2. In a large bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with the cold milk until smooth and slightly thickened, then let it sit for 5 minutes.

3. Spoon a layer of cake cubes into the bottom of a trifle bowl.

4. Add a layer of vanilla pudding over the cake, spreading it gently to the edges.

5. Spoon small amounts of cherry pie filling over the pudding layer.

6. Scatter a little green and red sprinkle mix over the fruit layer.

7. Repeat the layers of cake, pudding, pie filling, and sprinkles until the bowl is full, finishing near the top.

8. Spread or pipe the whipped topping over the top layer.

9. Garnish with extra cake pieces, more sprinkles, and a light dusting of powdered sugar.

10. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Chill the trifle long enough so the pudding sets and the layers slice more cleanly.

Add the final sprinkles just before serving if you want the colors to stay extra bright.

Use a clear trifle bowl so the holiday layers show through beautifully.
