Ingredients
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
2 cups chow mein noodles
1 cup salted peanuts
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet, tray, or large plate with parchment paper or wax paper.
2. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butterscotch chips to a microwave-safe bowl.
3. Microwave in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth and fully melted.
4. Add the chow mein noodles and salted peanuts to the melted mixture.
5. Fold gently until the noodles and peanuts are evenly coated.
6. Use a spoon or small cookie scoop to drop mounds onto the lined tray.
7. Let the clusters set at room temperature, or refrigerate until firm.
8. Once fully set, serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Melt the chocolate slowly so it stays smooth and does not seize.
Fold the noodles gently to keep their crisp texture and haystack shape.
Store in a cool place so the chocolate stays firm and glossy.
