Description

These Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and bursting with festive color. Made with buttery dough, rich chocolate chips, and bright red, green, and white candy pearls, they’re the perfect holiday bake. Ideal for gift-giving, cookie swaps, or cozy treats at home, these cookies hold their shape beautifully and bring seasonal magic to every bite.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1 cup brown sugar (packed)

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

¾ cup red, green, and white candy-coated chocolates or pearls

2 tablespoons sparkling sugar or flaky sea salt (optional for topping)

Instructions

1. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).

2. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and mix until smooth.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture on low speed until just combined.

5. Fold in chocolate chips and half of the candy-coated chocolates or pearls.

6. Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour to prevent spreading.

7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

8. Use a cookie scoop to portion the dough, spacing evenly on the sheets.

9. Press the remaining candy pieces on top and bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden.

10. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Sprinkle with sparkling sugar or flaky salt if using.

11. Serve warm or store for later enjoyment.

Notes

Always chill the dough before baking—it’s essential for thick, chewy cookies that don’t spread too much.

Press extra candy pieces on top right before baking for a picture-perfect finish.

Use parchment paper for even baking and effortless cleanup.
