Description

White Pizza is a no-sauce classic that’s all about cheese, garlic, and rich, creamy flavor. This recipe layers ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan over a golden crust, topped optionally with spinach, mushrooms, or caramelized onions for a luxurious bite. It’s a cozy, crowd-pleasing option for pizza night—without a drop of tomato sauce.

Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon chopped fresh herbs (optional)

½ cup baby spinach or mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

1. Let your pizza dough rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to soften.

2. Preheat your oven with a pizza stone inside to 475°F.

3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and Parmesan until smooth.

4. Stretch the dough into your preferred shape using a rolling pin or your hands.

5. Slide the dough onto the hot pizza stone and prebake for 3–4 minutes.

6. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the ricotta mixture evenly across the surface.

7. Top with shredded mozzarella and any optional toppings like spinach or mushrooms.

8. Return to the oven and bake for 7–9 minutes until the cheese bubbles and crust is golden.

9. Drizzle with garlic oil and sprinkle fresh herbs on top before serving.

10. Slice and enjoy hot from the oven!

Notes

For crispier crust, prebake the dough before adding toppings.

Always drain any wet toppings like sautéed mushrooms to prevent sogginess.

If using a baking sheet instead of a stone, preheat the sheet in the oven for better bottom browning.
