Thick, soft, and topped with creamy pink frosting, these Valentine’s Day Frosted Sugar Cookie Bars are the ultimate festive treat. No rolling pins needed—just spread, bake, and decorate!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Pink food coloring, optional

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs and 2 tsp vanilla, one at a time, mixing well.
4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
5. Spread the dough evenly into the pan and smooth the top.
6. Bake for 20–24 minutes until the edges are golden and center is set. Let cool completely.
7. For the frosting: Beat 1/2 cup butter with powdered sugar until fluffy. Add cream and vanilla. Tint with pink food coloring.
8. Spread frosting over cooled bars and top with sprinkles. Slice and serve!
Notes
Chill the bars for 20 minutes before slicing for clean, sharp edges.
Use room temperature butter for smooth creaming and frosting.
