Description

These Thanksgiving Hors d’Oeuvres Appetizers feature golden phyllo cups filled with a rich blend of cheeses, smoky bacon, and fresh herbs. They’re crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and ready in under 30 minutes—perfect for impressing guests before the main feast begins.

Ingredients

12 sheets phyllo dough

4 tablespoons melted butter

6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese or feta

2 tablespoons chopped chives or green onions

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Unroll phyllo dough and layer 3 sheets at a time, brushing melted butter between each layer. Repeat to make 4 sets.

3. Cut each layered stack into 12 squares.

4. Gently press each square into a mini muffin tin to form phyllo cups.

5. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, blue cheese or feta, chives, salt, and pepper.

6. Spoon the filling into each phyllo cup.

7. Sprinkle bacon crumbles on top.

8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until phyllo is golden and cheese is bubbling.

9. Cool slightly, garnish with extra chives, and serve warm.

Notes

Keep phyllo covered with a damp towel while working to prevent drying out.

For extra crunch, bake the phyllo cups empty for 3 minutes before filling.

To switch up the flavor, try adding caramelized onions or a touch of hot sauce to the filling.
