Ingredients

8 oz cremini or baby bella mushrooms, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp unsalted butter

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided

1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped mushrooms and sauté until browned, about 7–8 minutes.

2. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, half the mozzarella, and half the parmesan.

4. Stir in sautéed mushrooms, herbs, salt, and pepper.

5. Transfer mixture into an oven-safe dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.

6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot with baguette slices or crackers.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften at room temperature for smoother mixing.

Don’t overbake—the cheese should be bubbling but not dry.

Use fresh herbs for maximum flavor and a pop of color on top.
