Description

This Stick of Butter Baked Rice is an easy, oven-baked side dish made with simple pantry ingredients. A full stick of butter melts over rice flavored with French onion soup and beef broth, delivering rich, savory flavor and perfectly tender grains with crispy edges.


Ingredients

1 cup long grain white rice

1 can French onion soup

1 can beef broth

1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter

Salt and black pepper (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 or 9×9 glass or ceramic baking dish.
  2. Add rice, French onion soup, and beef broth to the dish. Stir to combine.
  3. Slice the stick of butter into 6 to 8 pieces and place evenly on top of the rice mixture.
  4. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove foil and continue baking uncovered for another 30 minutes.
  6. Let sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork and serving.
