Description

This rich and satisfying dish features seared steak bites paired with shell pasta smothered in a creamy garlic butter Alfredo sauce. A hearty, flavorful dinner that combines bold, meaty bites with comforting pasta for a meal that impresses with ease.

Ingredients

1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or tenderloin), cut into 1-inch cubes

8 oz shell pasta

3 tablespoons butter, divided

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 ½ cups heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Steak Bites: Heat a heavy skillet over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and sear the steak cubes in batches until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  2. Boil the Pasta: In a large pot of salted water, cook the shell pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Base: Reduce skillet heat to medium-low, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Create the Alfredo Sauce: Pour in heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer, and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked shell pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency if needed.
  6. Add Steak and Finish: Return the steak bites to the skillet and let them warm through. Garnish with chopped parsley and freshly cracked pepper.
