Spicy Rattlesnake Pasta is a bold, creamy, and comforting pasta dish featuring tender penne, juicy Cajun-spiced chicken, and sweet red bell peppers all tossed in a rich, spicy Alfredo sauce. It’s a Southern-inspired meal that delivers heat and satisfaction in every bite.
Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
¼ tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Slice chicken into strips and coat with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté red bell peppers for 2-3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Return chicken and pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated and warmed through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
