Description

A bold, creamy fusion of Cajun and Italian flavors, this Spicy Cajun Chicken with Garlic Parmesan Linguine pairs smoky seared chicken with silky garlic parmesan pasta. It’s the perfect cozy meal for spice-lovers and pasta fans alike—packed with protein, heat, and comfort.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

8 oz linguine pasta

1 tablespoon butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season generously with Cajun seasoning.

2. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes on each side until fully cooked and blackened. Remove and let rest.

3. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook linguine until al dente. Drain and set aside.

4. In a separate saucepan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).

5. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

6. Add cooked linguine to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Let simmer for 2 minutes to thicken slightly.

7. Slice the seared chicken and place over a bed of creamy linguine.

8. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra creamy sauce, reserve ¼ cup of pasta water and add it when tossing the pasta into the sauce.

Let the cooked chicken rest 5 minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.

If your Cajun blend is extra salty, reduce added salt in the sauce.
