Ingredients
1 box (about 4 sleeves) saltine crackers
1 cup canola or vegetable oil
1 packet (2 tablespoons) ranch dressing mix
2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Place the saltine crackers in a large zip-top bag or mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the oil, ranch mix, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and sesame seeds.
- Pour the spice mixture over the crackers. Seal the bag and gently turn to coat or toss in a bowl until evenly coated.
- Let sit for at least 1 hour or overnight for deeper flavor.
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Spread crackers in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring once halfway.
- Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
