Ingredients
6 chicken tenders (homemade or frozen)
2 soft sub rolls
1 tablespoon butter (for toasting rolls)
1 cup cheddar cheese sauce
Optional: 2 tablespoons ranch or honey mustard
Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Slice sub rolls in half without cutting all the way through. Butter the insides and toast in a skillet or under the broiler until golden.
- Cook chicken tenders according to package or recipe instructions until crispy and cooked through.
- Warm cheddar cheese sauce in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Add a splash of milk if needed to adjust consistency.
- Optional: spread ranch or honey mustard on the inside of each roll.
- Place 2-3 chicken tenders in each roll. Drizzle generously with warm cheese sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if using. Serve immediately while hot.
