  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

Tender steak bites seared and smothered in a luscious Velveeta cheese sauce, served with pillowy cheese tortellini. A cozy and indulgent one-skillet meal perfect for comfort food nights or impressing dinner guests.

Ingredients

1 lb steak (sirloin or tenderloin), cut into cubes

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed

1/2 cup milk or cream

12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)

Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season steak bites with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak bites until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add Velveeta and milk or cream. Stir until cheese melts into a smooth sauce.
  5. Cook tortellini in boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain well.
  6. Add cooked tortellini to the cheese sauce. Stir to coat.
  7. Return steak bites to the skillet. Heat for 1-2 minutes more.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
