Description
This Slow Cooker Beef Brisket is a rich, juicy, and flavorful main dish perfect for low-effort weeknight dinners or impressive weekend meals. With bold BBQ seasoning and fall-apart texture, it’s comfort food done right—with barely any hands-on time.
Ingredients
3 to 4 pounds beef brisket
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for searing)
Instructions
1. Trim excess fat from brisket and pat it dry with paper towels.
2. Mix onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
3. Rub the spice mix all over the brisket until evenly coated.
4. Optional: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear brisket 2–3 minutes per side.
5. Place brisket in the slow cooker. Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce around the sides.
6. Spread BBQ sauce over the top of the brisket.
7. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours until fork-tender.
8. Remove brisket and rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain or shredding.
9. Serve with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
Always slice brisket against the grain for maximum tenderness.
If you plan to reheat, store with some of the cooking juices to maintain moisture.
Choose a BBQ sauce that suits your flavor profile—smoky, sweet, or spicy.
