Description
A quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dish made with saucy ground beef, chewy noodles, and a savory umami-packed sauce. This 30-minute weeknight dinner is easy to make, highly customizable, and loaded with comforting flavor.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20 or lean)
8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ginger, minced
2 green onions, chopped
1 fried egg (optional)
1 tsp chili flakes or 1 sliced red chili (optional)
1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
Instructions
1. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and crispy around the edges, about 5–7 minutes.
2. Stir in minced garlic and ginger. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
3. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Pour over beef and simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.
4. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain thoroughly.
5. Add noodles to the beef mixture. Toss until well coated and glossy.
6. Garnish with green onions, chili, and a fried egg if using. Serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly cooked noodles to prevent sogginess—don’t overcook them.
Double the sauce if you prefer a saucier noodle base.
For extra crunch, toss in shredded carrots or sautéed bell peppers.
