A creamy and indulgent dish, Shrimp Alfredo Pasta is perfect for a cozy night in or a casual dinner with friends. With tender shrimp, rich Parmesan Alfredo sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta, it’s a flavorful combination that’s always a hit.
Ingredients
12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons butter, divided
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and add garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
- Return shrimp to skillet and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
