Description

A creamy and indulgent dish, Shrimp Alfredo Pasta is perfect for a cozy night in or a casual dinner with friends. With tender shrimp, rich Parmesan Alfredo sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta, it’s a flavorful combination that’s always a hit.

Ingredients

12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons butter, divided

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 1/4 cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and add garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
  6. Return shrimp to skillet and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
