Description
This Savory Cajun Steak Tips with Cheesy Penne Parmesan Sauce is a bold, comforting one-skillet dinner that balances spicy Cajun-seasoned steak with a rich, creamy parmesan pasta. Perfect for weeknight indulgence or weekend entertaining.
Ingredients
1 lb sirloin steak tips
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
8 oz penne pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat steak tips dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear steak tips for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and rest.
3. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook penne until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
4. In the steak skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.
5. Add heavy cream and simmer. Slowly whisk in parmesan until smooth. Add pasta water as needed.
6. Toss pasta in the sauce until evenly coated.
7. Plate pasta and top with steak tips. Garnish with parsley, parmesan, and red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
Resting the steak after searing helps retain juices and tenderness.
Use freshly grated parmesan for best melting and flavor.
Add pasta water slowly to adjust the sauce consistency without thinning it too much.
