Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef
1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
1 Onion, sliced
2 cups Beef Broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Thyme
2 cloves Garlic, minced
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
2 tbsp Flour
Instructions
- Form the ground beef into 4 to 6 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet and brown the patties for about 4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring to coat. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and garlic. Allow the gravy to simmer and thicken for 5 minutes.
- Return the patties to the skillet, spooning gravy over the top. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
- Serve the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
