Ingredients

1 lb Ground Beef

1 cup Mushrooms, sliced

1 Onion, sliced

2 cups Beef Broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 tsp Thyme

2 cloves Garlic, minced

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

2 tbsp Flour


Instructions

  1. Form the ground beef into 4 to 6 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and brown the patties for about 4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring to coat. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and garlic. Allow the gravy to simmer and thicken for 5 minutes.
  6. Return the patties to the skillet, spooning gravy over the top. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
  7. Serve the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
