Description
This Roasted Jalapeño Cowboy Cream Cheese is a bold and creamy spread packed with smoky roasted peppers, sharp cheddar, and savory spices. Perfect as a party dip, sandwich spread, or make-ahead appetizer that delivers Southwest flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese
3 jalapeños, roasted and chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 green onions, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your broiler or oven. Place jalapeños on a baking sheet and roast until the skins are blistered and blackened, turning occasionally.
2. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Peel the skins, remove seeds for less heat, and chop finely.
3. In a mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, green onions, salt, and pepper.
4. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, blend until smooth and creamy.
5. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl. Chill for 30 minutes for a firmer spread or serve immediately with crackers or vegetables.
6. Garnish with extra jalapeño slices if desired.
Notes
For less spice, remove the jalapeño seeds before mixing.
Let the dip rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving to soften.
You can substitute smoked paprika with chipotle powder for a spicier finish.
