Description
A creamy, nutty, and slightly spicy peanut sauce that’s ready in under 5 minutes. Perfect for dipping, drizzling, or tossing with noodles and veggies. Balanced with sweet, tangy, salty, and savory notes, this pantry-friendly recipe is a must-have in your rotation.
Ingredients
¼ cup creamy peanut butter
1½ tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice or rice vinegar
1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
1 clove garlic, minced or grated
½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce or sriracha (adjust to taste)
2–4 tablespoons warm water (to thin)
Instructions
- 1. Add the peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, maple syrup, garlic, ginger, and chili garlic sauce to a medium mixing bowl.
- Whisk everything together until smooth and combined.
- Gradually add warm water, one tablespoon at a time, until the sauce reaches your desired pourable consistency.
- Taste and adjust: more soy sauce for salt, lime juice for tang, sweetener to balance heat, or more sriracha if you like it spicy.
- Transfer to a jar and refrigerate or serve immediately.
Notes
If using natural peanut butter, stir well before measuring to avoid separation issues.
Sauce thickens in the fridge—add a splash of warm water before each use to refresh the texture.
Customize spice by adjusting the amount of sriracha or chili garlic sauce to your heat preference.
