Description

These Peach Butter Swim Biscuits are baked in melted butter for crisp golden edges and a soft, tender middle with juicy peach chunks throughout. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack, they’re a sweet twist on a southern classic.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1¾ cups buttermilk

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup diced fresh peaches

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and pour melted butter into a 9×9 baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

3. Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined.

4. Fold in the diced peaches gently using a spatula.

5. Transfer the dough into the baking dish and spread it gently without pressing too much.

6. Score the top into 9 squares using a butter knife.

7. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling.

8. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

Use cold buttermilk for best rise and tender texture.

Don’t overmix the dough — stir just until combined.

For extra crunch, sprinkle raw sugar on top before baking.
