Ingredients
1 bunch thick asparagus spears, trimmed
1.5 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and trim asparagus by snapping off the woody ends.
- Place spears on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Toss to coat evenly, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Arrange in a single layer and roast for 12-15 minutes, shaking the pan once midway.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with grated parmesan while hot.
