One-Skillet Smoky Cajun BBQ Chicken Pasta

Description

This smoky, spicy, and savory one-skillet pasta is a Cajun BBQ lover’s dream. Juicy chicken, tender noodles, and a bold sauce make this a standout dinner that’s both easy and irresistible.


Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 chicken breasts, diced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

1/4 cup tomato sauce

1/2 cup chicken broth

8 oz. fettuccine or tagliatelle pasta

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken and season with paprika, Cajun spice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions for 4-5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, and chicken broth. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the pan. Add pasta and toss until coated and heated through.
  6. Cook for 2-3 more minutes. Garnish with parsley or green onions.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
