Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts

8 oz linguine pasta

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups chicken broth

3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter (optional, for finishing)


Instructions

1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes.

2. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and slice.

3. In the same pot, add more olive oil if needed and sauté garlic until fragrant. Scrape up any browned bits from the chicken.

4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir in red pepper flakes and bring to a simmer.

5. Add linguine to the pot and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.

6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

7. Return sliced chicken to the pot and toss to coat evenly.

8. Taste and adjust seasoning. Finish with butter for extra creaminess if desired.

9. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and crushed red pepper.

Notes

Stir the pasta frequently while simmering to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

Add a bit more cream or broth when reheating leftovers to maintain the creamy texture.

Adjust spice levels with more or less crushed red pepper depending on your preference.
