These Monte Cristo Ham Sliders are the ultimate party or brunch bite. Featuring layers of savory ham, melted Swiss or Gruyère, and sweet jam inside soft slider rolls, they’re finished with a buttery Dijon glaze and a dusting of powdered sugar. Quick to assemble and baked until golden, these sliders strike the perfect balance between sweet and savory.
Ingredients
1 package (12-count) slider rolls (Hawaiian or dinner rolls)
1/2 cup raspberry or strawberry jam
12 oz deli-sliced ham (smoked or honey ham preferred)
8 oz Swiss or Gruyère cheese, sliced
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Fresh chives, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the entire block of rolls in half horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
- Spread jam evenly on the bottom half of the rolls.
- Layer the ham slices evenly over the jam.
- Place the cheese slices on top of the ham.
- Cover with the top half of the rolls.
- Melt butter and mix with Dijon mustard. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with chives if desired.
- Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
