Description
This Mint Chocolate Fudge is a no-bake layered dessert featuring a rich chocolate base, a creamy peppermint middle, and a silky ganache top. Perfect for holiday platters or an indulgent chilled treat, it’s easy to make and stunning to serve.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, divided
4 tablespoons butter, divided
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 to 2 drops green food coloring (optional)
1 cup powdered sugar
¼ cup heavy cream
Instructions
1. Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips with ½ can sweetened condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter. Stir constantly until smooth.
3. Spread the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and smooth it evenly. Refrigerate while preparing the next layer.
4. In another saucepan, melt 1 cup white chocolate chips with the remaining condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter.
5. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and food coloring. Beat in powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
6. Spread the mint layer evenly over the chilled chocolate base. Chill again.
7. For the ganache, melt ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with ¼ cup heavy cream in a saucepan or microwave, stirring until glossy.
8. Pour the ganache over the mint layer and smooth the top with a spatula.
9. Refrigerate until fully set, about 2 hours or overnight.
10. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment. Slice into squares and serve.
Notes
For sharp, clean layers, chill each layer until firm before adding the next.
Use high-quality peppermint extract for the best flavor—not imitation.
Wipe your knife between slices to keep your fudge squares looking pristine.
