Description

This homemade version of Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken delivers juicy chicken breasts with a crispy, cheesy crust and buttery pan sauce. It’s the perfect comfort food, ideal for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.


Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

4 slices provolone cheese

1/3 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tbsp butter (plus more for pan sauce if desired)

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to 1/2 inch thickness and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
  4. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Spread mixture over seared chicken.
  5. Top each piece with a slice of provolone and a sprinkle of breadcrumbs.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  7. Optional: Broil for 2 minutes to crisp up the topping.
  8. Optional Pan Sauce: Deglaze skillet with chicken broth or white wine, whisk in butter, and drizzle over chicken.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
