Description
A savory and slightly sweet pasta dish featuring seared chicken tossed in a glossy honey pepper glaze and paired with rotini for maximum flavor grip. This satisfying recipe blends richness with gentle heat, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast, boneless and skinless
12 oz rotini or fusilli pasta
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
5. Add honey, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
6. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water. Add the slurry to the sauce. Stir until thickened and glossy.
7. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with glaze.
8. Add cooked pasta and toss to combine everything evenly.
9. Finish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For extra depth, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and a bit of honey for 15 minutes before cooking.
Adjust black pepper to taste if you prefer more heat or less spice.
Leftovers reheat well with a splash of broth to keep the glaze smooth.
