Description
A cozy one-pan meal that brings together golden sweet potatoes and smoky sausage, all wrapped in a sticky honey garlic glaze. It’s a sweet-savory combo that sears perfectly in the skillet, making for an effortless yet satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
3 tablespoons honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Slice smoked sausage into thick rounds. Sear in a hot skillet over medium-high heat until both sides are golden brown. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, add olive oil. Add sweet potatoes and cook until tender and lightly crisped, about 10–12 minutes. Stir occasionally for even browning.
3. Lower heat. Add butter, honey, garlic, and soy sauce to the pan. Stir gently and let simmer for 2–3 minutes until glaze thickens.
4. Return sausage to the skillet. Toss everything to coat evenly in the glaze. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
5. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Use pre-cooked smoked sausage for faster prep and better searing.
Cut sweet potatoes evenly to ensure uniform cooking.
Don’t overcrowd the skillet—work in batches if needed to get proper caramelization.
