Description

This Homemade Ranch Dressing is creamy, tangy, and herb-packed. Perfect as a salad dressing, dip for veggies, or a drizzle for wraps and sandwiches, it’s ready in minutes using simple kitchen staples. You’ll never go back to store-bought again.

Ingredients

½ cup mayonnaise

½ cup sour cream

½ cup buttermilk (adjust for desired thickness)

1 small clove garlic, grated or pressed

1 teaspoon dried dill

1 teaspoon dried parsley

½ teaspoon dried chives

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon lemon juice or white vinegar (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth.

2. Slowly add buttermilk while whisking, adjusting to desired consistency.

3. Stir in garlic, dill, parsley, and chives until well combined.

4. Season with salt and black pepper, then whisk again.

5. Optional: Add lemon juice or vinegar for extra tanginess.

6. Transfer to a jar or airtight container and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use full-fat ingredients for the creamiest and richest texture.

Let the dressing rest in the fridge to allow the herbs to fully hydrate and flavors to meld.

For a thicker dip-style version, reduce the buttermilk or omit it entirely.
