Description

Cool, creamy, and dipped in rich chocolate, these Homemade Peppermint Patties are the ultimate no-bake treat. With just a few pantry ingredients, you can whip up a refreshing dessert that stores beautifully and impresses with every bite.

Ingredients

4 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract

2 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract until a thick dough forms. It should be pliable but not sticky.

2. Roll into 1-inch balls and flatten into discs. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill for 30 minutes.

3. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil using a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.

4. Dip each peppermint disc into the melted chocolate using a fork. Let excess chocolate drip off. Place back on parchment.

5. Chill the dipped patties in the fridge for 20–30 minutes or until chocolate sets. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

For cleaner dipping, make sure the patties are very firm before coating in chocolate.

Coconut oil gives the chocolate a beautiful shine and makes dipping smoother.

You can customize the filling with a few drops of food coloring for seasonal flair.
