Description

A creamy, cheesy, and golden-baked hashbrown casserole perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy dinner side. This crowd-pleasing dish comes together effortlessly with pantry staples and delivers rich flavor and satisfying textures with every bite.

Ingredients

2 pounds frozen hashbrowns

1 cup sour cream

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 small onion, chopped

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, mix sour cream, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, chopped onion, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.

3. Fold in frozen hashbrowns until evenly coated.

4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

5. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

6. Let it rest 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra crisp on top, add buttered panko or crushed cornflakes before baking.

Want to make it meatier? Add 1 cup cooked bacon, sausage, or ham.

Use freshly grated cheese for smoother melt and richer flavor.
