Description
This Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteak Meal Prep is a flavor-packed, comfort-style lunch that reheats beautifully. With seasoned beef, sautéed vegetables, melty cheese, and a cheesy rice side—it’s perfect for make-ahead meals.
Ingredients
500g ground beef
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
150g mushrooms, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
100g shredded mozzarella or provolone
2 cups cooked white rice
100g shredded cheddar cheese
4 sub or hoagie rolls (optional)
Instructions
1. Brown the ground beef in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Break it up and cook until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
2. Add sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to the same skillet. Sauté for 6–8 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
3. Return the beef to the skillet. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for 2–3 more minutes.
4. Divide the mixture into meal prep containers. Top each with shredded mozzarella or provolone.
5. Add a serving of cooked white rice to each container and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
6. Let cool slightly, then seal and refrigerate up to 4 days.
Notes
Toast the hoagie rolls before stuffing them to avoid sogginess.
Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting and flavor.
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mix.
