Description
Gordon Ramsay’s Chicken Tikka Masala is a creamy, mildly spiced curry with tender marinated chicken, aromatic spices, and a rich tomato-based sauce. It delivers restaurant-quality flavors right from your kitchen, perfect with naan or steamed basmati rice.
Ingredients
700 g chicken thighs or breasts, boneless and skinless
200 g Greek yogurt
2 tbsp garlic & ginger paste
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp paprika
2 tsp garam masala
400 g tomato puree
200 ml heavy cream
2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp vegetable oil or ghee
Salt to taste
Chili powder to taste (optional)
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, garlic & ginger paste, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Add chicken, coat well, and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
2. Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan until very hot. Sear chicken until charred but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
3. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat oil or ghee. Sauté garlic, ginger, and spices until fragrant. Stir in tomato puree and simmer until deep red.
4. Add chicken to the sauce, pour in heavy cream, and stir. Simmer gently until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
5. Garnish with chopped cilantro, adjust seasoning, and serve hot with naan or basmati rice.
Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken overnight in the fridge.
Use full-fat Greek yogurt to keep the chicken moist during cooking.
Adjust chili powder to suit your spice preference.
