Description
Juicy garlic butter steak bites meet creamy, cheesy tortellini in this ultra-satisfying dinner. Perfect for weeknights or special occasions, it’s fast, flavorful, and indulgently comforting.
Ingredients
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp salted butter
3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
9 oz cheese-filled tortellini
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Trim and cube the steak. Pat dry and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
2. Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Cook tortellini as per package directions. Drain and reserve a splash of pasta water.
3. Heat a skillet over medium-high. Add olive oil and sear steak bites in batches for 1–2 minutes per side. Set aside.
4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, cooking until fragrant. Return steak to skillet and coat in garlic butter.
5. In a separate saucepan, heat cream and Parmesan. Stir until melted and thickened. Add a bit of pasta water to loosen if needed.
6. Plate the tortellini with sauce and top with garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
Make sure your pan is hot before adding steak to get the best crust without overcooking the inside.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the creamiest sauce — pre-grated cheese doesn’t melt as smoothly.
Reserve pasta water before draining. It helps adjust the consistency of your Parmesan sauce without thinning the flavor.
