Description

A creamy, cheesy pasta dish packed with garlic butter flavor and golden seared chicken. This Garlic Butter Chicken Parmesan Pasta is indulgent, easy to make, and perfect for a weeknight comfort meal or a cozy dinner for guests.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (plus more for garnish)

12 oz linguine or fettuccine

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear chicken in olive oil until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  2. Lower heat, add butter to the skillet. Stir in garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add parmesan and stir until melted and smooth. Season with more salt and pepper if needed.
  4. Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  5. Toss pasta into the sauce, adding a splash of pasta water if needed to thin. Add the chicken back to the skillet and warm through.
  6. Serve hot, topped with parsley and extra parmesan.
