Four Cheese Frittata

Description

A fluffy, cheesy brunch classic, this Four Cheese Frittata layers gooey mozzarella, sharp cheddar, nutty parmesan, and creamy goat cheese into a golden, custardy egg base. It’s a comforting, protein-packed dish you can whip up in under 30 minutes — perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.

Ingredients

8 large eggs

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar

1/4 cup grated parmesan

1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese (or feta)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (like chives or thyme)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 10-inch oven-safe non-stick skillet and place it over medium heat.

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and heavy cream until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Fold in the mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan. Gently add the goat cheese, keeping its texture intact.

4. Pour the mixture into the hot skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the edges begin to set.

5. Transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the top is puffed and lightly golden. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra color.

6. Let the frittata rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For a fluffier texture, don’t overmix the eggs once the cheese is added.

Use freshly grated cheese for best melt and flavor.

Avoid overbaking; remove when slightly puffed and just set.
