Ingredients
500g boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 egg
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon ginger grated
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 green onions chopped
vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
1. Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized chunks and mix them in a bowl with a beaten egg.
2. In another bowl, combine cornstarch and flour. Toss the egg-coated chicken in the dry mixture until well coated.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on a cooling rack lined with paper towels.
4. In a separate pan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer until slightly thickened.
5. Toss fried chicken into the sauce and stir to coat evenly. Simmer briefly for full flavor.
6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot.
