Description

This Easy Lasagna Recipe is the perfect blend of hearty meat sauce, creamy ricotta layers, and bubbly melted cheese. It’s simple to make, freezer-friendly, and delivers big comfort in every bite—ideal for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.


Ingredients

9 lasagna noodles (oven-ready or boiled)

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups marinara sauce

15 ounces ricotta cheese

1 egg

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.

3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, then stir in marinara sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.

4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and parsley (if using) until well combined.

5. Spread a small amount of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

6. Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, meat sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan. Repeat layers until the top.

7. Finish with a final layer of sauce and mozzarella on top.

8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

9. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling.

10. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the lasagna rest after baking so the layers set and slice cleanly.

Use oven-ready noodles to save time and minimize cleanup.

For a richer flavor, mix in a splash of red wine to the sauce during simmering.
