Description

Dollywood Inspired Cinnamon Bread is a soft, buttery pull-apart bread filled with sweet cinnamon sugar swirls and topped with a creamy vanilla glaze. It’s a cozy, homemade treat perfect for breakfast, dessert, or sharing during the holidays. Just like the one from the park — but baked fresh in your kitchen!

Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 1/4 cups warm milk

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (divided)

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, stir together warm milk, yeast, and granulated sugar. Let it sit until foamy, about 5–10 minutes.

2. Add 4 tablespoons melted butter, salt, and flour. Mix to form a dough. Knead for 8–10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a stand mixer.

3. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Brush with remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter.

5. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle it evenly over the dough.

6. Fold the dough in half lengthwise. Cut 4–5 slits across the top, without slicing through completely.

7. Transfer to a greased 9×5 loaf pan. Let it rise for 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C).

8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

9. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze. Drizzle over warm bread before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mix.

Make sure your milk is warm (not hot!) to properly activate the yeast.

The bread tastes best fresh but reheats well with a few seconds in the microwave.
