Ingredients
12 hard-boiled or candy eggs
200 g dark, milk, or white chocolate
optional food coloring (for white chocolate)
2 teaspoons coconut oil or shortening
various sprinkles or edible decorations
Instructions
1. Prepare your workstation with parchment paper and small bowls.
2. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave, stirring in coconut oil.
3. Tint portions of white chocolate with food coloring if desired.
4. Dip each egg using a fork or skewer, letting excess drip off.
5. Sprinkle decorations over wet chocolate.
6. Place eggs on parchment or rack and chill for 10-15 minutes until set.
Notes
Use oil-based food coloring to avoid seizing chocolate.
Work in small batches to prevent chocolate from cooling too fast.
Let eggs sit at room temperature a few minutes after chilling to avoid condensation.
