Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh dill
3 garlic cloves
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup chopped dill pickles or pickling cucumbers
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 hot peppers (jalapeño, serrano, or habanero)
Instructions
- Roughly chop the pickles, garlic, hot peppers, and dill.
- Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth. Add more water to adjust consistency if needed.
- Pour mixture into a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes to thicken and meld flavors.
- Optional: Strain the sauce through a fine mesh strainer for a smooth texture.
- Let it cool, then bottle and refrigerate.
