This Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie is the ultimate savory bake—flaky, buttery crust filled with juicy ground beef, spiced sausage, pepperoni, and layers of gooey mozzarella cheese. It’s perfect for pizza night with a twist, game day feasts, or when you’re craving a hearty slice of comfort.
Ingredients
1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
20–25 slices pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
1. Roll out the pie dough and press into a deep-dish pie pan. Chill while prepping the filling.
2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, cook Italian sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain and combine with ground beef. Season with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
4. Spread a layer of sauce on the bottom of the crust. Add half the meat, 1 cup mozzarella, and half the pepperoni.
5. Repeat layering with remaining sauce, meat, cheese, and pepperoni.
6. Top with remaining mozzarella, a few pepperoni slices, and parmesan.
7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
8. Let pie cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
Notes
Blind bake the crust for 8–10 minutes to avoid sogginess from the meat and sauce.
For spicier flavor, use hot Italian sausage or add crushed red pepper.
Shredding mozzarella fresh will melt better and prevent greasy pools on top.
