Description
This Decadent Hot Fudge Pie is the ultimate chocolate lover’s indulgence—crisp on the edges, fudgy and molten in the middle, and irresistible when served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s easy to prepare yet elegant enough for any special occasion or cozy night in.
Ingredients
½ cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
¼ cup all-purpose flour
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or line with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in sugar until smooth.
3. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each to create a thick, glossy mixture.
4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir gently until fully incorporated.
5. Add vanilla extract and give one final stir.
6. Pour batter into prepared pie dish and smooth the surface.
7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
8. Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm for gooey texture or chilled for a firmer slice.
Notes
Do not overbake—slightly underdone in the center gives that lava-like texture.
For a more intense flavor, use Dutch-processed cocoa.
Reheat individual slices for 15 seconds in the microwave for the perfect gooey bite.
