Description
This Creamy Velveeta Penne Pasta with Cajun Beef Alfredo Sauce is a bold, comforting meal that comes together in one skillet. Rich, cheesy, and loaded with flavor, it’s a go-to recipe for busy weeknights or impressing dinner guests. The creamy Velveeta blends perfectly with heavy cream and Cajun spice, coating the pasta and beef in irresistible goodness.
Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
1 lb ground beef
1 red bell pepper, diced
8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella (optional, for topping)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Break it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
3. Add minced garlic and diced red bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and softened.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and add cubed Velveeta cheese. Stir until melted and smooth. Season with Cajun spice to your heat preference.
5. Toss in the cooked penne pasta. Stir to coat and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
6. For a cheesy finish, sprinkle mozzarella on top and broil for 2-3 minutes until golden and bubbly.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Start with less Cajun seasoning and build up to avoid over-spicing.
For extra heat, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes during step 3.
Leftovers can be revived with a splash of cream to restore the creamy texture.
