Description
A bubbling, golden hot dip layered with sharp cheddar, creamy Monterey Jack, and rich cream cheese. This Creamy Sharp Cheddar Jack Cheese Dip is perfect for entertaining or indulging, offering the ultimate cheesy pull in every scoop. Serve with tortilla chips, crusty bread, or fresh veggies.
Ingredients
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
1. Let cream cheese soften at room temperature.
2. In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and sour cream until smooth using a whisk or hand mixer.
3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix to incorporate.
4. Fold in most of the shredded cheddar and jack cheeses, saving a small amount of each for topping.
5. Transfer the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish and spread evenly.
6. Top with the reserved shredded cheese.
7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
8. Optional: Broil for an extra 1–2 minutes for added browning.
9. Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Use block cheese and shred it fresh—it melts better than pre-shredded varieties.
Let the dip rest before serving to avoid burning and help it thicken.
For a party-size batch, double the recipe and bake in a 9×13-inch dish.
